Review

    First Thoughts
First off I would like to say that this anime was sort of a gateway for me. It was the first anime that I saw, that really made me hooked. From beginning to end this movie was excellent, and a true gem to hold dear to one's heart. The characters, story, music, fight scenes are all spectacular. Although I do have some gripes, for the most part this is a perfect anime.

Story
Pretty basic, bad guy tries to take over the world, good guy tries to stop him yadda yadda yadda. It is rather predicable, in some ways, but that doesn't really matter. What matters is how the story is told, and the overall, general feeling you get after watching it (or reading if that be the case). And after I watched this movie chills ran up my spine. As for the highlites of the story, the best was the main characters, the fact that some characters from the other movies made sort of a little 'guess' appearence, and the ending was quite spectacular as well. As for the negatives, my only major gripe is that at some points the story becomes a little blah. There are a few spots that I would definatly skip because it gets a little dull in some areas. Overall a great story, but certainly not perfect. 8.5/10

Style
Fatal Fury has a unique style to it. It uses an idea called 'kai,' or sometimes called 'psi,' energy. This has been seen in other animes such as Dragon Ball Z, and it has also been seen in other games such as Street Fighter. The first time I saw Terry perform a Burning Knuckle, or his famous Power Gueyser, or the first time I saw Laocorn trancend into a god my mouth dropped to the ground. Another good point to mention is the humor. This movie wasn't meant to be a comedy, however there are a few moments that are quite funny and it certainly adds to the style factor. The greatest style factor of this movie, however, was definatly the ending. It is impossible to have made that ending any more stylish. 9/10

Audio
Fatal Fury the Motion Picture's audio was definatly far above the standards. To start off the characters voices were great. I loved all of them, especially Terry and Andys' voices. Next is the music. I loved the music from this movie. Especially the last song, Oh Angel. I have listened to that song a countless number of times. It is just one of those good songs to listen to, and it is certainly spirit-uplifting as well. Overall, definatly good, definatly great... definatly perfect! 10/10

Visuals
Well to say that my jaw dropped every twenty minutes or so would be some what of an understatement. The animation in this movie is far above supurb. With most animes I can usually look at some of the angles of different faces and they seem distorted. Or drawn wrong or something. However that never happened with this movie. The characters looked perfect and moved fluidly as well. My only gripe is that very often you can look at the background people and they never move an inch. Like when Terry was at this party at the beginning of the movie, I looked behind him and the whole time none of the people moved. It was as if they were just pictures or something. Overall, near perfect, so near it is rather scarey. 9.5/10

Summary

(This summary was taken from the back of the VHS tape)

Following the incredible success of the best selling Japanese animation videos Fatal Fury "Legend of the Hungry Wolf" and Fatal Fury 2, "The New Battle" comes a gorgeously animated full-length Fatal Fury motion picture from Japanese action director Masami Obari.
Prideful young Laocorn Gaudeamus, descendent of an ancient family, has scoured archaeological sites around the world for the legendary "Armor of Mars" lost by his ancestors during the Crusades.  With the help of his three associates- Jamin, Panni, and Hauer- Laocorn plans to usethe immense, almost godlike powers of the armor to take vengence on those who prosecuted his family all those many years ago.
To prevent her brother from acquiring it, Laocorn's beautiful estranged twin sister Sulia enlists the aid of the only man in the world powerful enough to stop him... bare knuckled street fighter and martial arts legend, Terry "Hungry Wolf" Bogard.  Unless Terry and his associates- younger brother Andy, Thai kickboxer Joe Higashi, and bouncy ninja Mai Shiranui- can stop him, Laocorn will don the final piece of armor and become invincible.
Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.  Laocorn is already close to becoming the most powerful man in the world.  What will happen when he gets the last piece?  What will happen when he becomes a god...?
In the blood-soaked and honor-bound world of martial arts, a martial artist's technique isn't just a means to an end... it's a way of life.  Based on the internationally best selling video game for the NeoGeo, Super Nintendo and Sega game systems, phenomenal fight scenes and non-stop action make Fatal Fury a sure-fire hit with fans of Hong Kong action films and video game enthusiasts alike.
Fatal Fury, Fatal Fury 2, and Fatal Fury the Motion Picture from Viz Video: In an age of scientific wonders, the human body is still the world's most dangerous machine.

Again just in case you did not see before this is the same thing as the back of the tape.
