Meet Keitaro Urashima, a nerdy ninteen-year
old male that still lives with his parents. When he was very
young he promised a little girl that he would make it to Tokyo
University so they would live happily ever after, since that
day Keitaro has not gotten a girlfriend. And, unfortunatly for
him, he has already failed his entrance exams for two years.
However, in the beginning of his third year trying for Tokyo
U, he becomes the manager of...
the Hinata Apartments. At first, Keitaro is told, by his grandmother,
to go to her apartments because she wants to talk to him. Keitaro
quickly makes himself at home, hoping that he could crash there
for awhile, but he soon realizes that his grandmother's old
apartment has been turned into an all-girls dorm! Already on
the bad side of most of the girls there, Keitaro must convince
them that he is a good manager that is not perverted, dumb,
or clueless (which is what most of the girls thought after their
first impressions).
Successfully, Keitaro eventually manages to be accepted as
the Hinata Apartments Manager. But he still dreams of the girl
from his past and promises himself that this year he will
become a Tokyo U student and he will meet the girl
of his dreams. However, his plans become quite complicated as
he must work hard to keep the Hinata Apartments speckless and
the finicky tenants complaintless, all the while studying as
much as possible to boost his failing grades to get into Tokyo
U. And what about this strange girl Naru? As one of the tenants,
Keitaro sees her every day and soon he becomes her student as
she tutors him. What will become of Keitaro and Naru? Will they
pass their exams and finally get into Tokyo U? Or will they
become ronins (failing students), for Keitaro's third year and
Naru's first? Or will they forget about why they wanted to get
in to begin with and end up falling in love with each other?
Anything is possible in the Hinata Apartments, and the only
way to find out what happens is to watch the anime or read the
manga! (or you could cheat and visit the episode guide, manga
guide, or 'anime and manga differences,' and read the summaries...
but we wouldn't want to do that now would we?).
