| Vampire Hunter D has just had a makeover in every which way possible and the first I'll mention is style. D is more stylish than ever, especially with his new get up. Instead of the tight light blue suit that he used to wear it is now all black and just makes him look all the cooler. The new bad guys also have a bit more style than in the first VHD and each one has their own unique 'talent' that D must get past in order to survive. One of my favorite things they added however is the sun, that and the wonderful scenery. If it was one thing that was slightly lacking in the first VHD as for style was the scenery. Dark and depressing is perfect for this type of story but I love variety in anime and Bloodlust gives it in the barrel fulls. You get to witness D in so many different areas of our future world ranging from beautiful sunlit mountains to dark damp dreary towns. Overall the style is extraordinary and my onlt complaint is the Hand. In the first one it was hilarious and always gave D a hard time. It also on occasion slipped and revealed a little more about D to the auidince but in Bloodlust the Hand can become annoying. As instead of peeving off D he simply turns into a coward at times and scolds D about how they aren't going to survive. So because of the Hand Bloodlust falls just short of a perfect score, but heck 9.8/10 aint bad is it? |

| As the first VHD went the music was fitting and always set the correct mood. The same goes for Bloodlust only this time around it is done much better. The music will have your heart beating a mile a minute as watch this stunning anime. And as for the audio it is the same excellence as in the first one. Wonderful voices are accompained by great actors as they make you feel as if you were in the anime itself. All in all the music/audio is wonderful and is a true blast to listen to. |

| Hmm, how do I put this so everyone understands... This is THE most beautiful anime I have ever seen! The characters look spectacular, the scenery looks marvolous and everything in between is simply a work of art in motion. Never in my time have a seen an anime look so great and play so smooth before. It takes the same basic feel and look of the old VHD and turns it up about ten notches! Overall, well I think you know already but simply put.... It ROCKS!!! |

| Compelling and intrigueing. That is the two words that come to mind when I watch this story. From the very beginning it hooks you up and reals you in as you watch a Vampire named Meier abduct a poor defenceless girl named Charlotte until the very end when the plot twists and D finds himself in a hang of trouble. Overall I personally like the old VHD storyline better but this one is certainly nothing to frown upon as you will be adoringly watching to see what happens next. |

| Well simply put this is sort of a remake of an already classic anime and is also taken to higher steps at the same time. From the amazing unique style, to the classic mood setting music, to the absolutly jaw dropping visuals this is a must have for any anime lover. However point to note this is not an anime for the younger viewers and is what I like to call a Hardcore anime. As in anyone that is offended by blood should definatly step away from the TV screen. Another point to mention is the DVD extras. The extras are sort of slim but they are nice none the less. It ranges from trailers to 'fans favorite scenes'. They are good for a watch or two but wont be worth much after that. Overall this is a classic anime taken to leeps and bounds and any hardcore anime lover will be dieing when they see it. |

| One of my personal animes taken to new boundaries with almost every single catagory improved. I dont believe this anime to be 'perfect' but then again I dont believe any anime to be perfect. However this comes as near to perfection as you can get and everyone should be able to enjoy an epic adventure such as this. |
